Dr. Shafiq Shaikh provides comprehensive newborn care from the first examination after birth through the critical neonatal period. With deep expertise in neonatal intensive care, he is equipped to manage both healthy newborns and critically ill neonates requiring advanced interventions.

NICU Expertise
Dr. Shafiq has managed extremely preterm (less than 28 weeks), very-low-birth-weight (less than 1500g) and critically ill neonates with complications including respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, necrotising enterocolitis and intraventricular haemorrhage. He is skilled in conventional and non-invasive ventilatory support, total parenteral nutrition and central line management.
